Two Escapers Convicted
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, March 12. The two inmates .of the Invercargill Borstal who escaped on Tuesday were recaptured at Te Anau late last night and today appeared in the Invercargill Magistrate’s Court before Mr W. M. Willis, S.M. William James Grafton, aged 17, and lan Hansard, aged 19, were charged with escaping from lawful custody and unlawfully taking a motor-vehicle. They pleaded guilty and were convicted and remanded for probation reports and. sentence.
