‘MEET YOUR NEIGHBOUR’
M.P.s To Tour Islands (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 17. The itinerary of the six members of Parliament who are to make a “meet your neighbour” tour of islands in the Pacific has now been completed. The members are Mr .G. A. Walsh (National, Tauranga), who will be leader. Sir Leslie Munro (National, Waipa), Mr D. S. Thomson (National, Stratford), Mr W. A. Fox (Labour, Miramar), Mr E. J. Tizard (Labour, Otahuhu), and Mr M. Rata (Labour, Northern Maori). The party will leave Auckland on March 8 for Fiji, where they will stay till March 15i They will arrive in Westen Samoa on March 14, having crossed the international dateline, and will stay there till March 20. A three day stay in Rarotonga will be followed by embarkation on the Government vessel Moana Roa, in which they will visit Mangala, Aitutaki, Palmerston and Niue Islands. They will return to Auckland on April 6.
