Defence Plan For Jurors (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) DAT J .AS, February 16. Judge J. B. Brown has ordered the defence and prosecution to try to pick a jury in Dallas for the murder trial of Jack Ruby. The decision on a defence demand to transfer the trial to another Texas city has been postponed. There have been four days of heated argument over whether Ruby could get a fair trial in Dallas. The trial was scheduled to begin on Monday, with the District Attorney, Mr HWade, seeking the death penalty. £ totals plan to empanel prospective jurora. In ■ they are chosen by lot from poll tax rolls. The chief defence lawyer, Mr M. Belk, told reporters: “In view of the fact that we have failed to get fair treatment, we are going to ask each and every juror every sort of question this side of insulting them and defaming them. It may take a full day to question each juror.”
Murder Fails.—The newspaper Al Akhbar" today reported Iraqi authorities had foiled an attempt to aasarinate President Abdel Salam Aref.—Cairo, Feb. 16.
