(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, January 24. A gadget the size of a smoker’s box of matches which, the inventor claims, will . make “ugly sprouting television aerials out of date.” has been tested by 8.8. C. and commercial television engineers, says the “Yorkshire Post.” Their report on. it was said to be most promising. The device—a transistor amplifier installed as a boost between an indoor aerial and a television set—gives clear pictures in bad reception areas. It will cost £3 15s.
