Week’s Share Trading Ends Buoyantly
The brighter trend of share trading continued yesterday, and the week dosed buoyantly, both New Zealand and overseas issues gaining ground. Leaders were stronger and there were some sharp gains. Newspapers were again prominent, with New Zealand Newspapers up to a new peak of 61s 9d and Otago Daily Times old and B shares advancing sharply. New Zealand Refrigerating sold 9d up at 43s 6d ex dividend, while New Zealand Refining rose Is to 375. Among overseas shares folloyying the trend on its home market, gained Is to 48s 6d, a peak for the year.
