Accidents In The Home.— The prevention of accidents in the home was the subject of films shown by Miss C. Gillings of the Health Department, at a recent meeting of the women’s section of the Christchurch Returned Servicemen's Association. Mrs H. E. Packer presided.
Life at Mount Algidus.— A talk on life at Mount Algidus by Mona Anderson, author of “A River Rules My Life,” was given to a recent meeting of the Kaituna branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers. It was of particular interest to Kaituna residents as “Patsy and Malcolm,” two personalities in the book (Mr and Mrs Malcolm Marriot) have now lived in the district for a number of years, says a report from the meeting.
