AUTHOR DIES
The Australian author, Arthur Upfield, creator of the fictional half-caste aborigiaal sleuth detective. Inspector Napoleon (“Bony”) Bonaparte, died this week. Mr Upfield spent more than 20 years in the Australian outback which provided the setting for more than 30 books.—Sydney, February 14.
