Mr F. D. Winter will retire this month from the position of deputy-general secretary of the Public Service Association. He was appointed assistant-general secretary in 1947 and to his present post in 1961.—(P. A.) Mr Maurice Pate, executive director of the United Nations Children’s Fund, will visit Wellington from February 17 to 19 as a guest of the Government.—(P.A.) Dr. J. A. Keeling (Wellington) has been elected New Zealand fellows’ representative, and Dr. D. R. Hay (Christchurch) New Zealand Members’ representative, on the council of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Mr G. R. Ashbridge, national secretary of the Educational Institute, left Wellington yesterday for Bangkok where he will be chairman of a seminar of Asian and Pacific educationists who will discuss ways of increasing international understanding.
