New Mile Trophy
The winner of the Canterbury senior championship mile tomorrow will become the first holder of the Harold Austad Trophy, a rosebowl which has been presented by the chairman of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, Mr H. I. Austad. A former Christchurch man, Mr Austad has been one of Canterbury’s resident delegates in Wellington for many years. He will be at Rugby Park to present the new trophy to the mile champion.
