HAWKE CUP CHALLENGE

Hawke’s Bay collapsed in its first innings against Nelson in a Hawke Clip challenge match ait Hastings today andwas all out for 111 in the last over before lunch. ’ The only batsman who looked like getting runs was R. Payne with a hard-hit 35. The New Zealand representative, M. J. F. Shrimpton, made one. In reply, Nelson had lost six wickets for 188 runs at the close. L. B. Reade batted patiently for 52, as did B.
