Star Countess won six races and £3645. Triple Countess won six races, including the Thompison Handicap at Trentham, I and £4275. ! The five descendants of I Cerulean which Mr Cole has (raced have earned £24,366 in | stakes. ■ Triple Count is in work I and is thriving, so the numi ber could be increased.
Odeon Hurt, Turned Out "The Press" Special Service MATAMATA, February 13. The promising three-year-old, Odeon, which ran Ichtar to a head in the Great Northern Derby, has had to be turned out. He will not race for several- months. Odeon’s trainer. D. M. Perkinson, said Odeon was badly galloped on in the Queen’s Plate at Ellerslie on New Year’s Day. He had recovered from that and had had one start, at Pukekohe, when he ran into a fence and cut himself about.
Perkinson said Odeon was unlikely to race again this season.
