SCIENTISTS STILL GO
Warning By Liberals (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, February 13. Two more scientists, both of London University, said yesterday they were leaving Britain to take up posts in the United States. They are Dr. Ray Guillery, 34-year-old Reader in Anatomy, and Dr. Eric Shooter, aged 39, a lecturer in bio-chemistry, both at University College. Dr. Guillery, who has made a special study of the brain during 10 years at London, is to take a post as Associate Professor at Madison University, Wisconsin. In London, the Liberal leader (Mr Jo Grimond) told London Rotary Club: “Scientists are not nearly as gullible as some politicians think. “Here no one even gave one cheer for our scientists and technologists until they started to leave the ■country.” The country was still obsessed by the myth of the superiority of English history and the arts generally, said Mr Grimond.
