Comments By Actor Arouse Lecturer's Indignation

(N.Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) EDINBURGH, Feb. 13. Dr. James Robertson Justice, at his installation by the Duke of Edinburgh as Rector of the University of Edinburgh for a second term, yesterday, warned the students against the activities of “a minority of busybodies." Hie actor did not name any organisation but held up a full-page Moral Rearmament advertisement from a national newspaper. He referred to a “thinlydisguised totalitaran organisation which, starting as a pro-Nazi front, now has the sheer nerve to seek to ally

itself with the prevailing, shall. we call it anti-Nazi, tendency.” Dr. Donald Robertson, senior lecturer in the university’s anatomy department, who has been associated with Moral Rearmament for fifteen years, said “the attack .on a great Christian movement has dismayed many in the university.” Dr. Robertson said Dr. Robertson Justice's “ignorance of public life may excuse his tactlessness in doing this in the presence of the Queen’s consort. “She after all, is pledged to God and before her country, to defend faith,” he said. “The injustice and the in-

temperance of his language, spoken from a platform of privilege, had degraded and may even have jeopardised the very office of Lord Rector. “His remarks are an affront to the university and a perversion of his office,” Dr. Robertson said. • Five retired military officers today put out a statement that “it is time that this lie about Moral Rearmament being pro-Nazi is stopped for once and for all. . . . “Moral Rearmament was banned by the Nazis in Germany, and its adherents were persecuted or killed'in every country under Nazi rule,” the statement said.
