CONSERVATOR OF FORESTS
Post In City For Mr F. J. Ranger
Mr F. J. Ranger, who has been with the New? Zealand Forest Service for 35 years, has been appointed Conservator of Forests at Cnristchurch. He replaces Mr H. V. Hinds, who is now Conservator of Forests at Invercargill.
Mr Ranger entered the service in 1928 as a forest guard at Ohakune, and since then has had extensive forestry experience in many districts. He was appointed a ranger at Hokitika in 1937, and later served in Te Kuiti, Ohakune, Auckland, and Palmerston North. After being promoted to senior ranger at Palmerston North, he served at Tapanui. Nelson, and Rotorua before being appointed officer in charge of Kaingaroa in 1961.
