“One-arm bandits” and other gaming machines in Britain are making an annual haul of more than £lom, an official report disclosed. Bingo was listed as topping the current gaming spree, with 14.324,081 members of 12,363 Bingo clubs paying an annual total of about £11,689,000 in charges for taking part in the game. Gaming machines, operated by coins varying from Id to 6d in a total of 15,124 clubs, have annual net takings of about £10,326,000.
