A Canadian reporting the Winter Olympics, Michael Sone, was given a suspended sentence in Innsbruck yesterday for resisting arrest and insulting and hitting two Austrian policemen. Mr Sone, aged 24, a Vancouver newspaper reporter, was found in the box for honorary guests—among whom were the Dutch Royal Family—at the Olympic stadium 10 days ago. Police said he resisted "polite requests” to leave the box, and struck and kicked policemen who tried to remove him.
