Women’s Cricket TWO DRAWN MATCHES

Moore Scores 114 Not Out Two drawn matches, a rare feature in women’s cricket this season, resulted in senior matches held on Saturday. The main reason for this was the high scoring by several players. P. Moore making the first century of the season and P. Blackler and B. Harris reaching undefeated half-cen-turies. The main match was between the two leading teams. Technical and St. Albans I. With Moore leading the way, Technical declared at 179 for six but Blackler held the bowlers at bay when St. Albans was left 95 minutes’ batting time. In the match between Western and Mai Moa, Mai Moa was only 10 runs short of a win with eight wickets in hand at stumps. Scores:— Technical 179 for six declared (Moore 114 not out, J. Goddard 36. E. Ewart 11; Blackler three for 90 off 24 overs, J. Dickinson two for 57). St. Albans I 122 for six (Blackler 72 not out, J. Stead 18, L. Ashby 11 not out, Dickinson 11; Moore two for 16. Goddard two for 26).
