Applicants should hold at least an honours degree in physical or inorganic chemistry. The salary range for the position is £A1550-£AIBSO p.a., with superannuation similar to F.S.S.U. The appointee will be allowed first-class rail fares from place of engagement to Perth. The successful applicant will organise and supervise laboratory classes and undertake such other duties as may be required by the Professor of Physical Chemistry. The work will involve a comprehensive literature survey and the production of a design. Anplicants should hold an honours degree in chemical engineering or have equivalent qualifications, and have had some experience in design. Persons with appropriate qualifications will be permitted to proceed to a higher degree, and in this case the emolument would probably be free of income tax. The fellowship has a value of £AIBOO-£A2OOO per annum according to qualifications and experience, and is tenable for one year but may be renewed for a further year. The research will be carried out in The University of Western Australia under the control of an Advisory Committee. The duration of the Fellowship will be one year in the first instance with the possibility of renewal for a further term or terms thereafter. The salary range for the Fellowship is £ Al9OO-£A2630 p.a. and the commencing salary of the appointee will be determined in accordance with qualifications and experience.
