(N.Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) EASTBOURNE, January 17. D. R. Gent, the little Welshman who became an English Rugby international, died at Eastbourne yesterday. He was 81. Mr Gent, a scrum-half, was one of the smallest men to gain international honours, being only sft 3in tall. He weighed 9st 61b for most of his playing career. Although born in Wales, he lived in England nearly all his life. After making two appearances in the Welsh trials in 1904-05, he played for England in the 1905-06 season against Ireland, Wales and the New Zealand touring team.
