Douglas-Prince Garry For Invercargill

"The Press’* Special Service

INVERCARGILL. January 17. Douglas, a runaway winner at Winton at his last start after two earlier unlucky efforts, will be a short-priced favourite for the Summer Handicap, first leg of the double at the Invercargill Trotting Club’s twilight meeting tomorrow. The Captain Adios gelding looks to be on the way to good form. The most opposition to him should come from Yankee Dandy Boblita, and Garrison Girl. H. W. Cox’s triple bracket of Prince Garry, Roseland Song, and Trysail will no doubt be first choice for the second leg, the Southland Handicap. In an open field the chances of Stanortna, Richana, and Maori Falla cannot be overlooked. There was some rain early today, but it has not affected the track, which should be fast.
