Wage Claim Possible
A meeting of the Federation of Labour executive will be held in Wellington next Tuesday to discuss the possibility of filing with the Arbitration Court an application for a general wage increase. After a ballot of all its branches, the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants has lodged a claim with the Railways Department for a general wage increase of 10 per cent, says the “Evening Post.’’
