Rain Prevents Victory Bid

South Australia was robbed by rain of an outright Sheffield Shield win over Queensland at Brisbane today, but won on the first innings by 48 runs.
At stumps, South Australia was 12 runs short of outright victory after rain had held up the match for more than an hour.
K. Mackay declared Queensland’s second innings at 310 for nine, setting South Australia to score 263 runs to win in 180 minutes.
