WHANGAREI. December 16. A New Zealand record mako shark catch wac made out from Tutukaka yesterday when L. F. Randle, of Wliangarei, caught a 718-pounder on the Cara Mia (Ray Dinsdale) after a two-hour fight. It displaces the record of 5281 b set by M. McLaren, Mareton Bay Game Fishing Club, of Australia, during the world contest in 1960.
