Injured Hunter Rescued

ROTORUA, December 16.
Ambulance men last night battled in darkness and torrential rain to rescue a man lying unconscious from loss of blood in the Mamaikus, near Rotorua.
James Heta, aged 29. of Mamaku, curt, his leg with a knife in a hunting accident. His wife left him unconscious and went for help. After taking an ambulance down a secondary road and across paddocks, Mir Herta's rescuers travelled six miles by jigger and walked another three miles to reach him.
Rotorua Hospital today reported his condition as satisfactory.
