Arabs Blacklist Clore’s Empire

The Arab countries yesterday announced a boycott on more than’4o firm’s and blacklisted 33 directors and executives of Mr Charles Clore’s commercial empire.
Heading the black list is Mr Clore himself, described as •’a man of Zionsst inclination.” the “Daily Telegraph" reported.
The Arab Central Office for the Boycott of Israel has advised the Governments of Jordan. Syria, Sauds Arabia. Iraq and the United Arab RepubLc that the Close boycott is to take effect from January 14. The black list of directors includes many of the sensor members of the Clore group. The banned companies' products range from boots and shoes to jewellery, and their financial activities from shipping to construction and investment, the “Daily Telegraph” said
They include Mr Clare’s £IOC million holding company, Sears Holdings, and four of its principal subsidiaries. The £24.296 552 Bi'-ish Shoe Corporation. Sears Engineering, Scottish
Motor Traction, and Mappin and Webb, which owns a number of jewellery firms. Mr Clore, aged 50, is well known for his sympathy and financial gifts to Israel. Last year he gave a million dollars to the Weizman Institute of Science.
Israel announced last year that it was receiving a loan of £715,000 from the Wolfson-Ckwe-Myer Corporation for a new town ball in Jerusalem.
