Dr. F. J. Llewellyn, chairman of the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation, and chairman of the University Grants Committee, is making a short, private visit to England. He is expected back in New Zealand before Christmas.— (F.0.0.R.) Mr M. J. Smith has been appointed manager for New Zealand for the Shaw Savill Line. He succeeds Mr J. D McMillan, who has been transferred to Victoria. New Zealanders who have qualified as fellows of the Royal College of Surgeons of England are: Drs. L H. Hansen, A. D. Bird. P. W. Robinson. M. G. Dunshea, and D E. Allen.
Mr R. A. Hocking, assistant editor of the “Motor World.” Wellington, has been appointed Dominion organiser for the New Zealand Prisoners’ Aid and Rehabilitation Society, and will take up his duties in mid-Januarv (PA.)
Mir A. Linton. chairman of the Dairy Production and Marketing Board, and Mr P. B. Marshall, general manager (marketing) of the board, retimed on Sunday to Wellington from Heng Kong—(P.A.)
