CONFERENCE IN NORWAY
N.Z. Scientist Invited
Mr L. G. Copp, senior cereal breeder at the Crop Research Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research at Lincoln. has been invited to attend an informal European I conference on mechanical equipment for agricultural research stations which is to Ml held at the Norwegian Institute of Agricultural Engineers ing at Votletekk, Norway, from June 15 to 19 next year; It was reported to the Wheat Research Institute Committeee that the conference had been restricted to 50 participants. The committee congratulated Mi* Copp on receiving the invitation; but it is unlikely that he will be able to attend. Mr Copp has been closely associated with the development of a single seed sowef and has published a paper on it, and his ideas have been incorporated in the experimental header harvested used to harvest cereal trials of the Crop Research Division.
