IVON WATKINS MOVE
Association With Dow (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 11. Ivon Watkins, Ltd., agricultural chemical makers, announce that agreement in principle has been reached between the board and the board of Dow Chemical International, a subsidiary of
the Dow Chemical Company . of the United States, for an ; i association of that company with Ivon Watkins, Ltd. Ibis will be on a share participation basis with an allotment of shares at a substantial premium. The agreement is subject to routine verification of some aspects of the business of Ivon Watkins. Ltd., and is also subject to certain ' necessary resolutions being passed at meetings of shareholders. Business Personal Mr T. S. McArthur has been appointed sales manager of Shell Oil, New Zealand, Ltd. He has been Wellington branch manager for the last three years and before that was sales manager at Christchurch and district manager at Dunedin. Mr McArthur took up his new position this week.
