10 Ask For Transfers

Ten «enior player* of the English League. First Division dub. West Bromwich Al-! bion, whose combined transfer value is estimated at more than £270.000, have caused a shock in British soccer circles.
They have all asked for transfers because they say i they “can’t get on with the manager, Mr Jimmy Hagan." Mr Hagan, former manager of Peterborough United, is recognised as a strict disciplinarian.
Festival Cyclings—Professional cyclists are to be offered £lOOO for a 1000-mile race through Australia’s rugged Northern Territory next year. The race, from Alice Springs to Darwin, will be conducted In conjunction with the Darwin Festival of Arts In July.—(P.A.)
