" New Zealand Idling Along”
(N.Z. Press Association) LEVIN. December 11. “New Zealand is in neutral, instead of a strong forward gear . . . the country is idling instead of speeding along,” the Ombudsman (Sir Guy Powles) said at the Horowhenua College prize-giving in Levin today.
“When I go away from New Zealand I have to start thinking to explain it to others, and New Zealand looks pretty good from over there,” he said. “But when you come back Inside it doesn't look so good—there's a little glow missing.’’
