PRESIDENT KENNEDY HONOURED.—The Medal of Freedom, the highest civil honour in the United States, has been given posthumously to President Kennedy. President Johnson is shown at the White House handing the medal to Mr Robert Kennedy, the Attorney-General and brother of the late President. President Johnson made the award to his predecessor “on behalf of the great Republic for which he lived and died.”
