Three Burglaries In Southbridge
The store of Mr D. Clarke Broad street, Southbridge, was burgled and £6O stolen on Sunday night. A steel sliding door, bolted on the inside, was forced, the office and furniture ransacked and papers scattered on the floor. Goulden’s Garage, in High street, was also broken into and tools stolen. Mr L. McMillan’s blacksmith premises in the same street were also entered and a few shillings stolen. In Leeston, the shop of Mr D. J. Ridden was entered and a few electrical goods stolen The premises of the Lismore Engineering Company, 58 Lismore street, Christchurch, were broken into on Monday night. Tools were stolen.
