fJV.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November ». J. T. Sparling, the 25-year-old University club all-rounder, has been chosen as captain of the Auckland cricket team. Mr G. O. Rabone, chairman of the selection panel, said tonight that Sparling would be captain for the season. Sparling had his first full season as captain of Auckland last summer, when Auckland finished third In the Plunket Shield.
