Payment To Widow
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 14. The Government had accepted a recommendation of the Parliamentary Petitions Committee that an ex gratia payment of £l5OO be made on compassionate grounds to Mrs E. D. Deamley. of Carterton, after the death of her husband two years ago on a Colombo Plan assignment, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) announced today.
