Tire Directors of the T. and G. Mutual Life Assurance Society report that the new business sums assured completed during the financial year ended September 30. 1963, set a new record in the history of the society. The aggregate sums assured in the Life Departments (excluding sums assured under contracts for Temporary Assurance > amounted to £77,368,087, the details being as follows: Ordinary department: 52,364 policies with sums assured of £72,495,166 and £111.066 per annum of Annuities. Accident department: 6936 policies with premiums of £81,776 per annum. The Ordinary Department figures include substantial amounts written under Staff Superannuation and Group Assurance Schemes. The whole of the Society’s new business is written in Australia and New Zealand. In the previous year, 52,405 policies were issued in file Ordinary Department with sums assured amounting to £67,360,268 and £141,753 per annum of Annuities. The annual premiums on that new business amounted to £2,334,023. In the Industtrial Department 33.863 policies were issued with sums assured amounting to £5,625.041 and premiums amounting to £285.063 per annum.
