RECEPTION FOR ALL BLACKS
Team Introduced To Queen Mother
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, November 12.
The All Blacks will not be able to welcome Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother on her New Zealand tour, but she received them this evening at Clarence House, and after 90 minutes they returned to their hotel delighted with their visit. After being formally introduced to the party by the capatin, W. J. Whineray, she moved among them, chatting about her tour, her dogs, Rugby—and trout. She also expressed some regret that her visit to New Zealand would only be for a fortnight. Her Majesty was enthusiastic about the reports she had received about the All Blacks’ victory over London Counties at Twickenham on Saturday and said she wished it had been possible for her to be there. t» Among the guests were two former Governors-Generai of New Zealand and their wives —Sir Willoughby and Lady Nome, and Lord and Lady Cobham.
