WILSON AND HORTON
Buoyant Revenue Expected (JV-Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 13. The directors of Wilson and Horton, Ltd, publisher of the "New Zealand Herald” and the ‘‘Weekly News.” expect revenue for the second half of this financial year to remain buoyant, they say in their half-yearly report to shareholders. To some extent, however, this will be offset by a higher depreciation charge and nonrecurring items of expense in connexion with the centenary of the publications of the company. In the first six months of the year a satisfactory margin of profit has been shown in spite of rising costs attributable in part to a recent printing trades award increase. All departments have made proportionate contributions. The interim dividend of 34 per cent, together with the special centennial bonus of 2 per cent, was paid today, the actual date of the “Herald” centenary.
