CAMBODIA TO LEFT?

U.S. Aid Rejected (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Nov. 12. Washington officials today expressed concern at Cambodia’s renouncement of United States military and economic aid, United Press International reported. United States officials said they were disturbed over the possibility that the neutralist Prince Norodom Sihanouk might swing closer to China. Such a move could threaten the United States position in South Vietnam and Thaildand. The Prince announced in Pnom Penh today that French and American troops must leave his kingdom. About 60 American servicemen are in Cambodia. He said he would call in five Chinese experts to help organise “State control.”

Vietnam Reform.— A committee will soon be set up to study “the removal of the vestiges of the former corrupt regime,” the South Vietnamese Security Minister (Major-General Ton That Dinh) announced yesterday. —Saigon, November 13.
