SENIOR CITIZENS ENTERTAINED
The Christchurch Senior Citizens’ Association social club recently held the second of its summer outings, when 136 members were taken on a trip to Ashburton, Four buses took members to the Ashburton gardens, while others played cards and were entertained with music. The Mayor of Ashburton (Mr J. Davidson) and Mrs Davidson presided at afternoon tea and welcomed the visitors. The outing was arranged by the organiser of the social club (Mr H. Gracie), assisted by Mr E. Moore and committee members.
