VENEZUELAN SHOOTINGS
Terrorist Raid On Hospital (N Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CARACAS (Venezuela), November 11. Terrorists armed with sub-machine-guns shot a doctor and two policemen in a Venezuelan hospital today in a successful attempt to rescue a captive Communist. -Another policeman was critically injured in the raid. In another violent incident in the struggle between the pro-Communist Armed Forces of National Liberation (F.A.L.N.) and the police, terrorists today cut down two policemen with machine-guns as they walked their beat. Police claimed to have shot a terrorist leader and wounded three of his henchmen in a running gun battle. The battle followed a series of bombings in the streets of Coro, the capital of Falcon State, and high school riots in the area.
