Senior Ranking Series One match in each of the men’s and women's sections was defaulted when the second series of senior tennis ranking matches was held at Wilding Park last evening. The selectors have decided this season that defaults will count towards places on the ladder. Women.—Miss D. Smith beat Miss S. Rich by default; Miss K. Williams beat Mrs E. Campbell. 6-3. 4-6, 7-5: Mrs P. Boatwood beat Miss D. Hopping. 6-1, 6-4; Miss C. Andrew beat Miss J. Hatch, 6-3. 6-4. Men.—G. A. Davidson beat B. Baxter by default; R. McCutcheon beat B. Aldridge. 3-6, 8-6, 6-4; W. Thom beat L. Watkins, 6-4, 6-2; B. Shirlaw beat M. Agar, 8-6, 6-8, 6-2; B. Crofts beat J. Duggan, 2-6. 6-1, 6-2; A. Brooks beat P. Boatwood, 6-3, 6-4; I. Stanton beat R. Loder, 6-0, 6-2; Duggan beat Brooks, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 (completed from last week).
