Golf Charles Not Defending

A field of 125 United States and Canadian golfers will tee off tomorrow in the 10,000-dollar national lefthanders open championship at Desoto Lakes. R. J. Charles (New Zealand), a runaway winner of the event last year, will not defend his title.
