UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE

New Proposals On Exam. (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Nov. 12. The Universities' Entrance Board has considered the reactions to its proposals concerning the university entrance examination and will probably bring forward new proposals before the end of

the year. “We are concerned with getting the right condition, for entrance.” Dr. F. J Llewellyn, chairman of the University Grants Committee, said tonight.

Dr. Llewellyn said the most positive indication the board had received from the answers to its proposals was for an examination of some sort at the upper sixth form level and the retention of accrediting at the lower sixth.
