RETIREMENT POSTPONED

Headmistress Will Stay Miss J. P. Crosher, the headmistress of St. Margaret’s College who was to liave retired at the end of this year, will remain at the school for the first term of 1964, pending the appointment of a new principal. This was announced at the annual meeting and reunion dinner of the St. Margaret's College Old Girls’ Association last evening. In making the announcement, that the school board

of governors had gratefully accepted Miss Crusher's generous offer to remain longer at the school, the president of the association (Mrs R. J. Dendle) said she did so at the request of the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt. Rev. A. K. Warren), who is chairman of the board. As it was the last large gathering of old girls that would be held before Miss Crosher, who is patron of the association, left Christchurch next year, Mrs Dendle presented her with a colourslide camera and projector from the association and the school.
