10 p.c. Rise In Profit (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE., Nov. 11. A. G. Healing, Ltd., electrical and automotive goods manufacturer, and heavy engineer, lifted profit by £52.249 (10 per cent) to £574.181 in the year to June 30. This was after taxation of £310,763 (previously £323.348). No figure is given for depreciation; last year's provision was £204,804. The final dividend of 4| per cent (making 12 per cent for the year) will be paid on December 20. 8.0.A.C. Earnings Rise (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, November 8. Earnings of the British Overseas Airways Corporation this year are now so far ahead of the target that the corporation hopes to make a profit of £3m after paying all its operating costs—enough to pay full interest on all its active capital. This was stated by the chairman (Sir Matthew Slattery) in a message to the staff. He described it as “a splendid recovery.” During the four weeks ended October 12 operations were bringing in more than £60,000 daily—a record increase of 12 per cent.
