“DANGER” OF HIGH PRICES
Warning By Mr Vines (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) MELBOURNE, Nov. 11. The managing director of the International Wool Secrearist, Mr William Vines, said today the high prices being paid for wool were to some extent a danger to the industry. •‘ln the final analysis, the textile manufacturer can only afford to pay a higher price for wool than for synthetic fibres—as he is doing now—if the public is prepared to pay a correspondingly higher price for wool products,” Mr Vines said. He added, it was “very encouraging” that this year had seen a return to more profitable price levels.
