TWO WOMEN INJURED
Car Hits Traffic Island Two women were injured when the car they were in hit a traffic island in Moorhouse avenue. near the Colombo street overhead bridge last night. Mrs Mary Agnes Kavanagh, of 3 Avenhead road, suffered facial injuries w» •-”» her head went through the windscreen. Miss Kavanagh, of 11 Craven street, suffered arm injuries and shock. They were taken to the Christchurch Hospital by ambulance and allowed to go home after treatment. The accident happened at 10 pm. Miss Kavanagh was driving and Mrs Kavanagh was in the front passenger seat.
