FORFEITED CAR
Brought Into NZ And Sold (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Nov. 11. A car sold the same day it was brought into New Zealand by a person who wrongly declared he intended to stay here permanently was today forfeited to the Crown by an order of Mr Justice Greason at Auckland. The application was made by Mr J. W. Bain, for the Attorney-General. The person from whom the car was seized by the Customs was Mrs Mona Mary Bakulich, who had bought it through Auto Wholesalers. Ltd., Mr Bain told the Court. Mrs Bakulich had disputed the forfeiture and a month had been allowed her to file a defence. No defence had been filed, Mr Bain said. No-one appeared in Court to oppose the granting of the order, which was made by his Honour, who ordered the Crowm costs of £25.
