FIRST VOTE
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 8. Mr A. 8. Vela, of Parnell, was the first to vote in the General Election. On Wednesday he was married. This morning he exercised his vote. This afternoon he and his wife flew to New Caledonia for three weeks' honeymoon. Mr Vela was anxious to record his vote and the returning officer for Auckland Central (Mrs M. A Mcßride) arranged it
