Flying Melody In Wyndham Ist Leg

INVERCARGILL, Nov. 8. Heather Lad. one of the early favourites tor the Hunter Handicap. main event and first leg of the double at the Wyndham Trotting Club’s meeting, has gone amiss and has been withdrawn. The issue now looks much more open, with Flying Melodv. the First Battle bracket, and Surveyor the likely favourites. The second leg will be on the Mercantile Handicap. An oncourse double will be run on the Mimihau Handicap and the Mokoreta Trial Handicap No. 1. There was an improvement in the weather today, and the forecast is much more favourable. The track will have the sting out of it. Selections:—
